New Hampshire’s Primary Date Supersedes Previously Scheduled Order

The DNC had intended South Carolina as the first primary.

This week, the state of New Hampshire set its voting date for the presidential primary as January 23, 2024, retaking its position as the first primary holder. President Joe Biden and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) had planned to have primary voting take place in South Carolina first.

Each state conducts voting for the presidential primary on different dates, and New Hampshire has habitually shared the earliest voting date along with Iowa.

Due to stronger support for the president in South Carolina than these usual first primary states, the DNC advocated for South Carolina to conduct the first round of its primary voting. New Hampshire proceeded to schedule its primary for late January, ahead of the February 3 date already established for South Carolina.

The DNC responded by rejecting New Hampshire’s delegates to its convention and removed President Biden from New Hampshire’s primary voting ballot. Officials expect that no other candidates will receive enough votes to compete with the president, rendering New Hampshire’s results effectively moot on a national scale.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For U.S. election officials across all 50 states as they prepare for primaries and conventions.
  • For discernment for the president and his advisors as they conduct the reelection campaign.
  • For God’s purposes to be accomplished in the 2024 election cycle.
